Megan Babcock

Areas of Focus: anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, couples, identity development, life transition, adolescents.

I firmly believe that everyone is capable of growth, and it is my desire as a therapist to create a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental environment. I want to cultivate a space where growth not only happens but is also consistently happening in a place where you feel safe, understood, and validated. We all experience challenges, and we are all deserving of the time it takes to heal. I want to partner with you and remind you that you are not alone, and help you navigate a path towards healing. It is through this therapeutic relationship that I work together with individuals and couples as they heal, grow, explore, and find meaning in their journey.

Together, we can work through the challenges you are facing, build insight into how your history plays a role in those challenges, and discover healthier patterns and deeper connections. I employ an integrative approach that is trauma-informed, drawing from cognitive behavioral, narrative, mindfulness, attachment based, and psychodynamic models.

Areas of Focus: life transitions, identity exploration, relationships, pregnancy & postpartum, anxiety, depression, trauma, couples, adolescents

We all face moments of change and transition. Sometimes we need help getting through them. Maybe it came out of nowhere, maybe it’s something you’re anticipating, or maybe, now that you’re in it, things just aren’t going as planned. Everything around you feels different, and you’re struggling to find a sense of balance. Or maybe you’re different, but no one else seems to have noticed, and you feel lonely and disconnected in your relationships. You may even be wondering how you got here, where you’re going, and who you are. I want to help you feel more grounded and less alone as we seek answers to these questions and start to make sense of your new reality.

I know from personal experience that changes of any kind – big or small, planned for or unexpected – can be destabilizing. I also believe they can be opportunities for introspection, healing, and growth. My goal is to provide the support you need to slow down, look inward, and ultimately move forward. As your therapist, I’ll approach our work with a combination of clinical skill, compassion, and curiosity. Together, we’ll explore how your past has shaped your present. We’ll try out new ways of thinking, behaving, and relating. And we’ll face change together as we work towards greater meaning and connection in your life and relationships.
